Xiaomi is all set to unveil its much-touted flagship this February. The company has been successful with its super flagships at budget pricing backed by some top features and specs.

Xiaomi will lock horns with Samsung by launching its Mi 9 against the Galaxy S10 series on the same day.

The company has confirmed that Mi 9 will go official on February 20 in China, with a global launch being expected in a few months. Xiaomi is yet to bring it’s Mi 8 to India, so the Mi 9 India launch does have its obvious uncertainties.

In-Display Fingerprint Sensor

The Xiaomi flagship will embark an in-display fingerprint sensor sporting minimal bezels on the sides with a little chin down under.

Updated Back Panels

The leaked back panel of the Xiaomi Mi 9 in pictures have a gradient and shiny finish showing different shades of colours whenever light falls on it. The Mi 9 back panel is expected to be made up of glass.

Water Drop Notch Display

The leaked Xiaomi Mi 9 will come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display in a water drop notched shape. The smartphone will have a very similar display to another hit entry premium flagship, OnePlus 6T.

Android Pie Out Of The Box

Xiaomi Mi 9 will run on the latest Android 9 Pie software out of the box. The smartphone will have the latest OS based on the updated MIUI 10.

Snapdragon 855

Xiaomi Mi 9 has been confirmed to be running on the newly unveiled Snapdragon 855. It’s going to be the smartphone from Xiaomi to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Three Storage Variants

The Mi 9 flagship will have three models under its tag: 256GB storage with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage with 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage with 8GB RAM. The company may also launch a special 10GB Mi 9 edition later.

Triple Rear Camera Setup

The Xiaomi Mi 9 will come with a three camera rear setup including the 48MP primary Sony IMX 586 sensor, 12MP secondary sensor with PDAF support and a third lens being a TOF camera.

25MP Sony IMX 576 Selfie Shooter

Up front, Mi 9 will have a 25MP shooter inside the water drop notch. The 25MP selfie shooter is expected to be the Sony IMX 576 sensor enabling ultra wide shots.

Fast-Changing & Type C Connector

The Mi 9 will come with a 3,500mAh unir backing the whole package with fast charging support and a Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.

Xiaomi Mi 9 will launch globally on February 20 in China. The leaked teaser has confirmed that the Xiaomi flagship will come with triple rear cameras. The Mi 9 India launch depends on whether Xiaomi will launch a flagship or not, or it will go with Poco F2.

Xiaomi is yet to bring it’s Mi 8 to India, so the Mi 9 India launch does have its obvious uncertainties.

Coming to the availability, Mi 9 will be available from March.

The Mi 9 price has been leaked earlier as well. As per the recent updates, the Mi 9 is expected to launch at a starting price of CNY 2,999. If we translate the Mi 9 China pricing, Mi 9 India price will translate to around Rs 30,550.

The Mi 9 global launch will happen on February 20 in China.

Coming to the Mi 9 India price, if the smartphone lands in India, Xiaomi Mi 9 may cost around 35,000 rupees in India for the base variant.

Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera Basic Launched In India: Price, Specifications, Features

Xiaomi on Wednesday launched a new smart home product in India. Mi Home Security Camera Basic is priced at Rs 1,999, and comes with full HD (1080p) support.

Mi Home Security Camera Basic will be available via mi.com at 12:00 pm on February 14. Mi Home Security Camera Basic features an ultra-wide 130-degree angle lens. It comes with full HD video recording up to 20 frames per second. . It also has infrared night vision with up to 10m of range.

Xiaomi says the AI motion detection on the security camera can filter out false alarms like curtain movements, light changes and insects. This feature can be turned on from the Mi Home smartphone app and users will receive notifications for any movement detected. Mi Home app supports picture-in-picture (PiP) mode for videos. Users can also view footage from multiple rooms in one screen.

Mi Home Security Camera Basic also features talkback with improved voice calls. Mi Home Security Camera Basic comes with microSD card support for up to 64GB of storage.

This is Xiaomi’s second security camera in India. Xiaomi had launched Mi Home Security Camera 360-degree last October. Priced at Rs 2,699, this security camera offers 360-degree viewing angle along with a two-way audio. It also comes with Full HD video recording and footage storage for up to five days. The Mi Home Security Camera features infrared night vision, AI motion detection and microSD card slot with up to 64GB storage.

Xiaomi’s Mi 9 is among the most peculiar upcoming devices of 2019. The company itself took an active part in revealing specifications and official renders of the device before an official launch. And these weren’t any renders or specifications. Each day the company revealed a key feature of the smartphone with intricate details such as the triple rear camera. Now, a couple of days ahead of launch, the company’s official handle on Weibo has shared a video revealing the transparent edition of the Mi 9 in its full glory.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition was shown off in an Alita: Battle Angel ultimate trailer. It’s already known that Xiaomi is making a limited edition smartphone for the sci-fi movie, and this video reveals exactly that. From what we see in the trailer, it is now clear that the handset has a triple-camera setup at the back, and wireless charging feature as well. A previously leaked image of the alleged Mi 9 Explorer Edition showed quadruple cameras, but this upcoming edition continues to be under the wraps.

Leaks online have so far hinted that prices of the Xiaomi Mi 9 could start around $370 (approximately Rs 26,400), which is remarkable for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-device. Moreover, 20W wireless charging has been confirmed by officials which means that the device would be the fastest wireless charging smartphone at launch. Also, the battery is pegged at 3,200mAh, which is a bit smaller than 3,400mAh on its predecessor.
